Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The young Yulebuck is permanently the Hogfather's Assistant. While he doesn't go with the Hogfather on his delivery duty, this assistant stays back to help prepare the gifts along with take care of the hogs on other days.  Aiden is this Yulebuck's name, but because of his "profession" he is more commonly known as the Hogfather's Assistant.  This doesn't bother him.  Aiden is usually a cheery, spirited brat when off-duty and can be a bit of a prankster.
