Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Hope is the cheer of the forest. She hops up onto her elm tree and calls her song to the other dragons in the morning. Whenever she sees a dragon that is sad she goes up to them and cheers them up. Hope has no wish to have young anytime soon. The reason behind this is because she once saw a dragon mother who was roaring in sadness because her egg had died. After this Hope decided later on when she was older, she would have an egg. She is friends with Moi and advises her to have her egg later but of course Moi did not listen and had an egg. Hope lives up in an elm tree and watches over all the dragons.
