Sinii Krai Dragons are known for their love of fish and their strong personalities. They are able to travel both in the air and in the water with their unique tails. They live on the coast in groups of ten or more and are fiercely territorial. Sinii Krai Dragons are nearly impossible to tame if not obtained at an early age. Great care must be taken around them as their skin is highly poisonous after maturity.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lloore always wanted to work at Stoneheart Weyr. Convinced that someone would immediately recognize her natural talent, she got to work as soon as she arrived without even asking permission. Unfortunately, her clumsy enthusiasm damaged several rare volumes, her attempts to write only produced illegible inky scrawls, and she never put anything back in the right place, because she felt that her own method of organization made more sense (color, shape, size, or whatever caught her fancy at that particular moment). Though Lloore was a menace as a librarian, she did eventually find another job at the weyr. Lloore might have been a danger to the collection, but her poisonous skin and bright coloration made her an excellent deterrent to anyone thinking of damaging a book. She spends most of her time outside near Carnegie, keeping him company while watching for suspicious individuals.
