Avatars of Destruction possess a volatile disposition. They thrive on chaos and decay, and their horns and plated scales are as hard as forged metal. Because of their affinity with darkness and the destructive forces of nature, it was once thought that these dragons were omens of ill fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Designated as "Hatred Unending", Odium Aeterna is the offspring of a union between the vile charlatan Thamiel and the Mother. His violence and destruction, unlike most of his lot, is a low and simmering fury. It bubbles up in small, passive bouts like a murmur, and to match this nature his specialty lays in sabotage and betrayal. There is no friend he would not cross, and no feeding hand he would not bite. That is why he is, ultimately, harmless—he cannot help but sabotage even himself.

Even knowing this wormly nature, his caretaker has been working with him, the attention delicate but diligent. It is a fond hope of the caretaker that someday, he can perhaps be put to tasks which help, instead of harm... but that dream is currently a far-off fantasy.
