Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This hatchling loves to spread holiday cheer. The only problem is that only christmas dragons and humans celebrate the holiday. So, when he was adopted by a clan of non-christmas dragons, things stated to get messy. For starters, they named him "Christmas Freak". The other dragons would much rather celebrate dragon holidays than this human christmas. However, this does not stop Christmas Freak from spreading holiday cheer or, being small and ignored, as much as he can. He will give gifts to other hatchlings and dance in joy when they open it... if they open it. Some black, vine and storm dragons he knows would rather burn or eat his gifts. "Freak" learned this out of experience.
