Ridgewing Dragons live just below the snow level on the upper slopes of mountains. They are a friendly, playful breed and enjoy dancing in wind currents near their homes or plummeting down into valleys from great heights. Their wings, by far their most striking feature, grow in fin-like ridges along their backs. While their bodies lack markings to blend better with their surroundings, a ridgewing’s wings have bright markings in the colors of the flowers that grow in their mountain habitat. Occasionally different-colored individuals can be found, but they are rare because their striking coloring offers little protection.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Limnom was always a small, weak dragon and a great bully magnet. On a weekly basis as a hatchling he would either get pushed off a cliff, humiliated until he was beet red, beat up, or excluded. During his unlucky weeks, when he looked "too happy", one or more of these things would happen if not all! His luckiest weeks were when he was tired and would laze around, camouflaging with his surroundings. Limnom has never really had friends, so he's socially awkward. If his bad rep doesn't repel away potential friends, his awkwardness will. Somehow the uncomfortable feeling Limnom experiences when he is near others will spread to them.

   Limnom's past has also turned him into a tough, smart dragon who will tolerate anything and is almost never disappointed. He surprisingly doesn't hate the bullies from his past. Yes, they ruined his childhood, but they have turned him into the humble dragon he is today. Limnom feels bad for them now, because now their adult lives are far worse than his own!
