As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.
Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
User Description
Butterfly in the Dark is a shy, quiet and thoughtful dragon who enjoys spending her time alone or with her mate Hummingbird in the Sun. Although at first glance the two of them are very different they match each other surprisingly well. Each of them brings out the side of the other that is less often seen. With Hummingbird Butterfly will sneak down to the village and watch the humans although for now she is reluctant to actually approach them as Hummingbird readily does. On the other hand Butterfly can lure out Hummingbird's soft and sensitive side when he normally can be a little boastful and egotistical.
