As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Shinaka was the fastest growing up in the nest.  Even so, he is not the leader of the Starheart clan.  He was in fury when he witnessed his owner give Galaxia the place to lead.  When he learned to accept it, he decided to be Galaxia's advisor.  As he began to research, he began to be happier with his duty knowing he can protect her and lost his fear of the undead.  He now is watching Galaxia as she learns to lead the Starheart clan.  He also began to teach the other dragons to speak the human language.
