Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Wylka's scales are riddled with stripes of vivid color, though they are narrower than her brother's. She shares her mother's prominent keel bone, and the two's resemblance is not only external. Wylka is proud, and carries herself regally, which frustrates Vr'Skriis to no end. The two are constantly butting heads, both literally and metaphorically. Ryzen has earned more than one injury breaking the two apart, for which Wylka is deeply sorry. Although she usually apologizes to Ryzen, her brother, her dignity will not allow her to extend the same courtesy to Vr'Skriis. Only the diligent effort of Florentas is enough to keep the sunrise and the ice dragon away from each other's throats.
