Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ainaaeariel a simple dragon who leads a simple life. Those who surround her tend to try to dote upon her and serve her because she is a tinsel dragon. This annoys her to almost no end and she quickly shoos anyone who acts in such a manner away. She just wants to lie in green fields, soak up the sun, and eat only what she can catch. When she was young she enjoyed the attention and even selfishly encouraged it, but now that she is older she has come to understand that just because she is a rare breed doesn't mean anything toward her character. Ainaaeariel prefers that she is liked because of her personality and not because of the shininess of her scales.
