Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

A curious little creature with a Rosebud mother and a Winter Magi father, this hatchling can never seem to keep his holidays straight. Often found preparing heart-shaped cards and gifts of chocolate during Christmas, and setting up decorated pine trees and boughs of holly on Valentine's Day, most have given up trying to correct him and simply enjoy watching him go about his crazy ways.
