Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nade is his nickname. He is among the more prissy Flamingos in his community. Nade has this weird cool factor. He struts about, showing off his gorgeous scales (he is considered the most beautiful male in his family) but acts like he doesn't care. That's sort of his attitude toward anything. Nade keeps a straight face wherever he goes and pretends like nothing matters to him at all, that he's too cool to care. Of course, this is far from reality. Nade is actually bothered by a lot in his family. Since it is so huge, he often worries about slipping into obscurity and becoming a nobody. His greatest fear is being forgotten, so he tries anything and everything to make himself stand out and hides his fear under this "cool" persona. To be fair, it kind of works. Many consider him a real hot-shot and want to be around him. However, this also earns him some bullying from his cousin, who doesn't appreciate anyone stealing his thunder. So, it leads to a difficult balance for Nade.
