Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shavaru is quiet, withdrawn and more than a bit of a rain-cloud. She sulks at the back of the cave, does her work with complaints muttered every fifteen minutes. Like most silvers, she is very beautiful, but she rarely cares for her appearance, and looks disheveled much of the time. She also dislikes her glow, preferring the dark, and often remarks on why oh why did she have to be born a neon sign. Much of the cave view her with tolerance, and a bit of an eye-roll, but by now have given up trying to cheer her up, though every so often Tayro tries to zest her up, she fiercely refuses to be happier.
