Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It sleeps a lot, but when it’s awake, it’s quite a handful.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This young pillow dragon, nicknamed Puff is considered to be quite a nuisance and people who come by the scroll owner's quaint home are often warned; "Don't let his cuteness deceive you."

When Puff is awake, he would glide around and use his paws to jump around everyone's heads. He also enjoys pranking people and dragons alike. Another one of Puff's habits includes making a mess in his master's study and tricking others into giving him food. By the end of the day, though, when the fun-loving youngster is finally out of fuel, he would make his way to the scroll owner's bed and position himself on her pillow, ready to sleep.
