Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Regalsere's name means 'serene gift'. He likes to fly over the lake on clear nights, swooping low over the water between long bouts of high, lazy gliding. During the cloudy nights he socializes with the nebula dragons, sometimes taking wing above the clouds with them, but just as often sprawling himself on the lakeside or in the gardens. At twilight and dawn, he can be found hunting and sharing his meals with Escut Seguretat. During the day he sequesters himself in his mountainside cave, the largest and deepest among several others used by nocturnal dragons.

As the eldest of the Dragons of L'Rehte, his calming presence has a profound effect on all the other dragons. He is quietly playful and prefers the gardens, his caves, and lakeside, but explores all accessible areas not defended by the more naturally volatile dragons.
