Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Sir Fromage d'Affinois is a 'dragon'...or more like an enchanted piece of cheese. As his clan's first cheese dragon, Sir Fromage d'Affinois was very much admired by his fellow clan members...one way or another. Many aspired to get to know a cheese dragon and have one as a friend...but many more dreamed of nibbling off Sir Fromage d'Affinois's tasty tail. Fortunately, Sir Fromage d'Affinois has learned to stay away from these 'dangerous' dragons, and today spends his time socializing with his new friends and his old buddy, Wallace the Origami Dragon. Both Sir Fromage and Wallace are disappointed that they aren't truly alive, but have found other ways to appreciate themselves. Otherwise, besides running from hordes of hungry dragons that would love nothing other than to nibble Sir Fromage's tail off and talking with 'Wally', Sir Fromage acts quite like an ordinary dragon. That is, until you realize he is made of cheese. And you notice how he always stays in the shade, and away from heat.
