Equinox Dragons are a highly vocal, migratory breed, easy to find when they are traveling through an area and incredibly scarce otherwise. They are extremely skilled at following dates and times based off the movement of the sun and the moons, and follow their lengthy migration routes like clockwork. Large flocks of Equinoxes can darken the skies, and their calls, which sound like eerie flutes, can be heard from a great distance. Equinoxes are very social, and hatchlings are cared for communally by the entire group—it’s rare to see a solitary Equinox, and any stragglers who don’t have a flock will often attempt to join groups of other breeds of dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Throughout her migration travels across Galsreim, Fuyasu has encountered many different enchanted caverns and buildings. Since she is one of the more magically adept dragons within her flock, she's become the go-to expert for setting protective wards and magical passcodes on the family's annual living caverns. Because of this, Fuyasu has also developed somewhat of a reputation for being good at figuring out the magic words to unlock entry in other places as well. While she doesn't mind assisting family members with their hoard protection enchantments, Fuyasu privately knows that most of her guesswork is just simple memory and logic rather than advanced magical theory. Most of the time she sets aside her runestones and memory spells in favor of just running through a list of commonly used magical pass-phrases, like "open sesame" and "please".
