Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A regal and solemn creature, this dragon is strongly attracted to treasure. While that's hardly unusual for a dragon, what she does with it is very unusual indeed; she steals the riches of the cruel wealthy to give to the kind impoverished. While many of her exploits rely on her innate stealth, some of her escapes border on the supernatural, wicked dragons and selfish barons alike screaming in rage as she escapes from one impossible trap after another. The secret to this is her heritage; child of a shadow walker of rare color, she has inherited his ability to  slip out of reality, and does so whenever need calls for it. It was during the course of one such desperate robbery that she stumbled upon another copper dragon of similar ability and intent, and the joint exploits that ensued soon saw them fall in love. Now a happy mother, the female is nonetheless still the more active of the two parents, frequently running raids and helping out her equally heroic sister with her own quests.
