And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Little Shad3 is a shy and nervous hatchling. She is often seen in trees. Her shy nature seems to be the main cause of her keeping away from others. Although, she does enjoy watching the others from a distance. Since she tends to be up all night, she often sees Little Night Ladie playing in the dark.
