Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Spynnicus has lived in this cave since his birth, though he is unsure of his parentage and remembers being raised by a variety of different females, as if they were all babysitting him. He grew to be strong and powerful, as all red dragons do, particularly proud of his fiery breath and large wings, which allowed him to fly for three days without tiring, at quite an impressive speed. However, he was unable to impress anyone besides a few close friends with his skill until Zlyxara came around.

Granted, he wasn't exactly pleased with her right from the start, but she proved herself to be worth his attention after time. The only disputes they share are child-related. Spynnicus would love to father a vast line of hatchlings, but his mate has other interests. For now, he is content with exploring and fighting, and returning every night to sleep in his cave.
