Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Off the main nest sprouts a smaller cave, light spilling from a shaft to the sky. Lady d'Avelinge is the elderly patriarch of the Aves, the clan-within-a-clan of silvers and similar colored breeds that dwell here. Although his name seems feminine, legacy of the L4DY code he was born with, he very much acts the gruff patriarch. Hatchlings defy his orders, but the adults respect his age. It was his blood that gives Aves their pale manes and long memories, bold brows and cold tempers. It was then his teachings that made the males fighters and leaders, direct, proud, and protective. All of the d'Avelinge are descended from the retired warrior.
