Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Nix, like all Christmas dragons, only hangs around from November to February. Where she goes is a mystery—even to Nix herself. The interviewer, curious Dark Myst he is, asked Nix why this is.

"Ummm... It's hard to explain." Nix laughed nervously. "I just run over to the Cave Master's fort and hang out there 'till everyone else has finished arriving. Then we hum a song... And poof.  We're in this huge place that's covered in snow... There's gifts and pine trees and snow forts... We never really gave much thought as to where we actually were. At least, I didn't. Oh! And there was a Seragamma wyvern there too. Called himself 'Santa' or something. He says he does all this stuff every Christmas, and that all the gifts we wrap, trees we decorate, and forts we make are gifted every Christmas. The trees and forts inspire, while the gifts go under the trees as presents."

She then shrugged. "Then again, I might've just dreamed the whole thing. I don't know."
