Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is a deep shade of crimson.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Alazarin is very content to just nap near its tamer's forge, though when it is awake it finds catching small bugs irresistible. It hates the cold weather and will often refuse to step outside the cave if it is below 30 degrees outside. It is dangerous for it to get too cold because it gets chills from the cold air, making it vulnerable to illness. It prefers the company of any fire-breathing dragon or the harvest dragons because of the sheer body heat they give off.
