Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is so full of energy that you have a hard time keeping up with it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Wharren loves competition. He's always showing off, strutting his stuff, and he'll do whatever whoever else is doing, just to prove he's better. His favorite phrase is 'Whatever you can do, I can do better.' Even though it's not always true. His rival is Chazi the frozen purple dorsal hatchling. Him and her are always in a competition to show 'who's da best'. This leads to arguments over who won what race, who ate most what, and so on. But though they'll disagree on this, they need each other. Without the other, there's be no reason for them getting up in the morning.
