Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Toukan's name means "frost," and it refers to how her egg was discovered coated in the first frost of the season.  She has the same exquisite beauty as frozen icicles and snowdrifts, and her appearance subconsciously causes others to think of her as cold or unfeeling.  On the contrary, she is a compassionate dragon who is similar to both a white and a guardian when it comes to aiding others.  She will fight to defend, using strong cold-based magic on her foes. Then she will use minor healing magic to repair.  She is naturally at her best in cold weather, and summer is a trial to her.  During hot spells, she will sometimes use her magic to create an icy haven for herself in the inner recesses of the cave.  At those times, she is greatly entertained by the hatchlings who will visit her so that they can play and slide on the frozen floor.
