Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Bo's Pass The Cheddar is so named because of its cheese-like appearance. Though genderless, all dragons think it is a male, because it acts like one. It "hangs out" with all the male dragons, winks at all the females, and shows off the "spikes" along its neck. One main habit of its is grooming itself much more than other dragons, for a reason only it knows. It likes the taste of its own skin!
