Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Calm and quite, Astarte is often called mother of the sea. Because she has the potential, but never uses it, Astarte is a respected Goddess of the cave. Her water powers can be utterly devestating, she's proven so before when she was called to defend the cave. She hated the idea of taking down the rogue herd in such a brutal why, but they had been left with no choice as the requests were ignored. Astarte has never needed to use such forces again, and hopes she never shall. Even though she hates violence, she loves her mate, Tannus. He's in charge of the defending the cave and the one who asked her to assist him. Even though she knew it'd cause death, she ended up agreeing to his command. She knew he'd follow her into the heart of rogue territory and that she atleast owed it to him to help save the cave. She knew in the end she'd have done it for the cave with or without him anyway.
