Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Alto Cirrus is named after the clouds. She was amongst the first dragons to be owned by Tanglefoot, alongside her two hatchlinghood friends: Quaking Aspen and Dreamy Nightmare. As expected of her breed, she is very easily offended, therefore it doesn't take much to anger her. She demands respect from the other dragons of the Tribe and for her, it isn't hard. Many of the dragons respect her seniority, and many of the younger ones fear her.

However, Alto does have a kind side, though rarely seen except on the rare occasion when she witnesses an underdog of a dragon being bullied. She's quite pretty, in her own harsh way, and has never had an official mate, though there has been many a time when male dragons can be seen vying for her attention. Sweeny Todd especially, who longs for the full companionship of Alto.
