Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

MistakenTragedy is a sad Red Dragon. He was named BurningThrush by his parents, but adopted the name MistakenTragedy after a horrible accident removed the end of his tail. He was flying too close to a volcano, tried to swoop out of the way when a huge flock of Crimson Bolt Pygmies attacked him. They were everywhere, blocking out his view of the terrain and the sky. All MistakenTragedy could see were Crimson Flares, no matter where he looked. He ended up crashing on the side of the volcano, and passing out. He was out, and nothing could wake him. Nothing, that is, that wasn't hot lava consuming his tail. He was badly injured and out of it, but MistakenTragedy managed to fly off and make it to his cave, before passing out in the air and crash landing. The healers in the clinic had never dealt with a case that bad, but they were able to save all of him but the end of his tail, which was too badly burned and had to be amputated. MistakenTragedy feels too crippled to get on with life.
