Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tristus has a horribly low self-esteem and even carries an aura of depression which affects whoever surrounds him. His head is always low to the ground, but at least it has helped him find food that distracts him from his life for a short speck of time with its taste. Tristus is mysterious and very secretive. He strongly believes that he is uninteresting so he doesn't even try anymore.

Tristus is like this because his parents never ever paid attention to him; they were too madly in love with each other. His mother had a kind nature and Tristus expected her to be nice and play with him, but she still refused. Pazitor, his father, has a great lust for power and a great love for Tristus's mother. Pazitor always insulted and abused Tristus to make him go away, and even trapped him in caves to starve. Tristus never learned how to defend himself and never wanted to, feeling that he was SUPPOSED to be weak. He lets bullies hurt him just so they'd be happy.
