Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Falling All Over Again does not hate what she is. In fact, she loves being a vampiress. Her every need is catered to -- what dragon wouldn't, considering her next meal could be one of their future children. She could curse their offspring to a life of living already dead, and that scares them senseless. Or, rather, it scares them TO their senses, so suddenly they treat her like a princess, like a goddess. If she doesn't want to hunt, she doesn't hunt. If she wants to go for a midnight stroll, she's got three hulking males following after her to ensure a fair fight should an enemy try to attack.

And every month, one of the females of the Clan is sent out. She searches out an abandoned egg and brings it back to the cave -- where the unlucky egg is then offered up to Falling as a gift from the rest of the clan, so she can feed regularly and stay in the best of moods possible for the rather testy vampiress.
