As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Kyacxac, or Kya Xaccarine, is the usual timid-natured, cat-sized Night Glory. Born an orphan, the young drake survived on wild berries and nuts that grew in the forests she lived in. Kyacxac's parents were murdered during a clan war between the southern and eastern clans on Mirsapia. The west clan, the Gwinston clan, was the deadliest and worst of all four clans on Mirsapia. They were vicious dragons that never tried to be the best clan, but rather signed to be more powerful than all the other clans. Kyacxac was smart, however, and she quickly joined the Uncita clan when the war was finally outwhelmed by peace. The many Uncitaians honored her with bravery and intelligence.
