Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Arranged marriage was never something to which this dragon particularly objected, so long as the mate in question was rich and handsome. And so her planned mate was--a dragon bonded to another wizard, polite and kind, possessing a wealthy trove. The love that would grow between the two dragons would serve as a permanent tie between both sorceresses, and ensure their wondrous friendship would last forever more.

On the night on which she was meant to wed the heartseeker chosen for her, the lumina was spotted doing ABSOLUTELY UNSPEAKABLE THINGS with a neotropical dragon in the forest! And after THAT, one story after another surfaced--everything from male turpentines to terraes testifying she'd had a rendezvous with them! Horrified by the exposure of all her secrets, the lumina promptly fled into the wilderness (neotropical in tow), leaving both wizards in shock and her poor planned mate quite flabbergasted.
