Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

ALilEmeraldflare is a loving and trusting dragon. She loves to watch the hatchlings hatch from their shells, and listen to the adolescent dragons as they get in their circles and talk about what ever it is that they talk about. She never judges and always finds time to hear what the younger dragons have to say, because she knows that it was hard growing up in this day and age. She wouldn't give advice unless it was asked, but she always seems to know what to say to make any dragon have a brighter day. No one has ever seen ALilEmeraldflare get upset, or even raise her voice. Not even if the young dragons were getting into trouble, all she has to do is give them that look and they knew that it was time to change the path they were on if they didn't want to get into trouble. Everyone knows that she was the one to go too if there was a secret that needed to be shared, for she never told the secrets to a soul.
