Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Frozen Lunar Eclipse was cursed as a baby hatchling by an evil wizard. She is very curious and considers Night Jay as her dad and Hope Flight as her mom. She likes to hunt with Night Jay and knit with Hope Flight. She also plays with Daystar, who she considers her brother along with Dark Apparatus. She also likes to swim. Her original parents abandoned her because of her curse.
