Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Drusilla TriThorne is a Vampire dragon. She is named for the trident-like tip of her tail. The owner's dragon family has seen so many strange things that no one found the owner walking in with a cold, dead egg which she claimed would definitely hatch particularly unusual. Not even the White dragons, who examined the egg and declared that the hatchling inside was long dead. Therefore no was surprised when the egg indeed did hatch into a curious, eerie hatchling who refused to go out during the day, or actually get up at all, and who drank blood from a saucer placed in its den. Unlike many Vampire dragons, Drusilla found acceptance from her new family. Bright and witty, other dragons enjoy her company and she is often found chatting with Bloomielle the Spring and Bitsybone the Pygmy, discussing new books with them, or singing wit Amarinthe the Stone. She is also one of the night guards of the family, patrolling the caves after everyone is asleep to keep a lookout for danger.
