Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camouflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rusty Torpedo is a female Seragamma wyvern who is a writer. She can often be found at the dragon library with a notebook or roll of parchment balanced in her talons. Torpedo's stories are fast paced and adventurous, which make them very popular among the other Seragamma wyverns (at least, those who know how to read). She has gathered her short stories in two books named "The Lava or the Sea" and "When a Flower Meets the Fire".

  Rusty Torpedo lives in a small cave in "The Mouth Of Thorn", a volcano. Her cave is neat and filled with books and pieces of paper, nicely organised into piles. Torpedo is a good huntress, but since wild horses are scare in her area, she mainly feeds on deer.

  Rusty Torpedo loves her mate, Star Of Sorrows, and her daughter, Valley of the Wailing Souls. She is considering writing a third book and naming it "The Shadows That Stalk the Night".
