Ultraviolet Dragons are a heat-loving breed that are most commonly found in hot, arid environments. These hardy dragons are omnivorous and will eat both plant and animal matter, even species with thorny physical defenses such as cacti. They are generally peaceful and often quite friendly, but males will become aggressive and cantankerous during the breeding season. Intense fights take place over females, sometimes resulting in injury for both combatants.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As an egg, Argemt was given to the human girl named Flight by his mother, Usena, so that Flight may take care of him the way she took care of his mother and father. Argemt is extremely close to the Sunsong, Cantia, who was also raised by Flight. Living in a cave near the Lake of Elgar, Argemt enjoyed playing with his sister and brother hatchlings, Aketro of the Northwest (a Coastal Waverunner) and Azyro (a red Dorsal). Argment is extremely level-headed and he and his fun-loving brother, Azyro, often get into arguments when one of Azyro's schemes end up getting the siblings into trouble. Though Argemt says that he's just looking out for his brother, Azyro can often be heard calling Argemt a party-pooper, much to the amusement of Flight and Argemt's older siblings, all dragons cared for by Flight. As an adult, Argment became interesting in the Sands of Melctar, a desert north of the Mountains of Elgar. Argemt lives there now and annually visits his family in the Mountains of Elgar.
