Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Yemeji de Laponia (Yumeji of Japan) was rescued by her owner from a dragon rescue shelter in Japan. Her owner brought her over on a long ship journey during which she hatched into the beauty she is now. Yumeji is a very proud dragon but will not tolerate haughtiness in any way. She is thriving very well in Wales as it always rains and the sun in hardly ever out which enables her to protect her fragile skin from harmful rays. Her owner has, however obtained a potion from a local apothecary that aids in preventing sunburn and Yumeji frequently enjoys a long massage with said potion. She loves to go out at night and watch the stars when it is coolest and dark. She has inherited knowledge of Japanese myths and legends but rarely shares them with anyone. She will occasionally, however, come out with words of wisdom if it is necessary to the situation. A quiet but strong type and sometimes a loner but always polite. Her owner would like her to spend more time with her own kind.
