And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Cotton Willow is the daughter of Wellwings and Legendaria Kardia. She is very friendly, and loves to help new dragons in the cave get settled in. She does have a verbally aggressive streak though, and will not stand for any dragon treating another poorly. She is also one of the few dragons who can get through to Cest, and is one of her few friends. She is interested in history and history alone, instead of the broader spectrum of knowledge her parents seek. She will fly for miles with her little wings to find ancient ruins or treasures. There have been several instances where she has gotten injured while exploring, but she is determined to keep going on her adventures. Her parents, as well as her friends, are often showered with unique gifts such as old vases, clay tablets, gold, jewelry, and more. She likes to observe humans as well, finding their behavior interesting.
