Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Nikohmis, was an abandoned egg, and for years she sat in a clearing filled with moss and shrubs. She sat alone and cold... and felt her life force becoming weak. She wanted to live more than anything. Every day she felt the warmth of the sun shine on her egg, and every night she felt the coldness of being alone. She was so sad and hoped for someone to find her, someone to love her. And then after years of not being found, she was giving up. She felt she had no more desire to be alone. If no one wanted her, she would leave on her own... but then she felt something so strong. Something she had never felt before. It was warm. Warmer than the sun had ever been. A sweet tremble tickled her shell. And something told her it was going to be okay.<br/>Her egg finally hatched and she saw someone she did not know, but already had loved so much. No longer did she have to be alone, she now had another companion. Someone she could love and be loved back.
