Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Skwishie is one of the eggs that Mewel returned with after she followed to see where Pharolux kept bringing eggs back from. Mewel has since been banned from "rescuing" any more eggs, as one that she brought and insisted upon caring for was a foul looking, and fouler smelling egg. She named him Skwishie when he first hatched out for he looked and felt like nothing so much as a hairless rat dumped out of a bottle of formaldehyde. Surprisingly, it grew and even matured into the beautiful, if disturbing Vampire Dragon he is today. Skwishie spends his days deep in the cave, but joins Shadlin in his nightly hunts and protection rounds. The Valley now has a reputation for being inhabited by a terrifying, blood sucking monster. In truth, Skwishie is only terrifying when hunting. At home, he is cheerful, pleasant and playful and enjoys making up poetry.
