Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon is one of the bravest dragons in his cave. He has been known to fight any dragon, even ones twice his size, to protect the innocent, and his loved ones. He has fought Zombie and Vampire dragons, and come out the victor; and he is always ready for just one fight more. His true abilities were tested when, one night Deadened Wing's herself showed up in his cave that he shared with his clan. Elegantsands was not there and Deadened Wings began to close in on the eggs. Then Nitilia tried to stop her and Deadened Wings attacked her. That was the last straw for Eyothine and he went between his clanmate and the Vampire dragon and fought her until at last she was forced out of the cave. Forever more his colony was grateful to him and he continues to protect them to this day, with his loyal mate Nitilia by his side.
