Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ditzy, spacey, air-headed, there are quite a few words that can describe the beautiful and dreamy Caera Ibormeith. Always with a wistful look in her eyes, Caera enjoys spending her days napping on her cloud above Vicugna Pacas or staring up at the heavens. Quite a few of her brood mates think that Caera is rather stupid because of her absent behavior—and the fact that she doesn't seem to notice anything at all, it could be raining and she wouldn't notice. However, Caera is a gentle soul who just enjoys her dreamland just a little too much for everyone's liking.

Out of all the dragons, Caera gets along best with Astra Mayeri who took the time to get to know Caera. She also gets along with Loras Rosewater and Vicugna, and would help them out by dropping good dreams onto the little hatchlings. Caera is intrigued by Little Soul Reaper and would sometimes follow him for hours at night just staring at his scales. She is also mates with Niveus Hyacinthus and does enjoy his company.
