Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

WA is a rather mysterious dragon. As a Nocturne, he is only active at night, freezing up the second sunlight hits him. Even so, he is a pretty odd guy, often lurking around at night and being found in strange places come morning. He's aloof around other dragons, not liking to interact or speak with them, hence why he can be seen creeping around away from guarded territories. The only dragon he really likes to be around is his wife, Faith. The two share an interesting dynamic, sort of an "angel to my devil" schtick, but in reverse. Faith is plagued by a sense of self-doubt and shame, feeling worthless as a Sophrosyne because of her family's low status. WA, meanwhile, tries to fix this and make her feel worth her salt. It doesn't always work, WA is horrible at conversation and can't always get his thoughts across, not to mention he can only be with Faith during the night. He's also very nervous around her family, so asks her to keep quiet about him until he can muster the courage to see.
