Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It was born with a full set of wings.

And look! Its wings have grown larger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

BurningRidgeWing is a tan Ridgewing Dragon hatchling who loves fire. He can't breath fire, but he is super jealous of dragons who can. He hangs around with Red Dragons when he gets the chance, like his mother and grandmother. His cave has a couple communal fires going at all times, so it is very likely that BurningRidgeWing is right there staring into one. He wants to watch fire, talk about fire, and dream about fire (which he does). Hopefully he will not get too obsessed with STARTING fires as he gets older.
