Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sky Wick was found by SnowCrystal as an egg, and raised by her. With her love and care, he was the first male in the cave. Falling for the one who had taken care of him all his life, he found himself her some-what mate. He had named himself after leaving the cave for a while as a hatchling. When he had finally returned to the cave he was a young adult, and had won over SnowCrystal somewhat. Sky Wick has been the only mate of SnowCrystal, and cares for her greatly, even if she has never agreed to make him her lifemate, it seems that she has decided to stay with him. Sky Wick helps to watch over the cave when SnowCrystal is unable to keep control of things, and even thought he is a Skywing, he spends very little time away from the cave and his love SnowCrystal.
