Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Carved In Stone joined this cave, the only other Stone Dragons were the much respected old Stone Cold Metal and his two sons, who had been the only Stone Dragons for quite a long time, despite their efforts to increase their numbers. As the older son's children all took after the types of their mothers and the younger son, being inbred, only managed to woo females who did not care about lineages because they wanted to donate their eggs to the "save a Vampire from starving NOW" fund, Carved In Stone was greeted enthusiastically as a welcome addition to their small family circle. At first he was a bit shy and reserved, but today you couldn't find closer friends than Carved and the other Stone Dragons. This is how he got his name—to him, friendship is like a word carved in stone, it takes long but when it's done it lasts.
