Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Elita, now grown, stared at the egg that stamped her admission, her qualification to be worthy of her birth Clan. She remembered looking up at Bo, her sire, and thinking, "Am I anything like him." Would this egg, if it survived, think the same.

Nevertheless, of all memories, Elita remembers sitting with Bo on those cool nights at the edge of their territory, near the other Clans Cave. The Clan she was to lead a revolt against, whatever that meant. She was as usual chatty, ever eager for knowledge about the world, when Bo murmured something. "What was that, Bo" she had asked. Then he turned his obsidian eye toward her, and he whispered, "You hadn't even been born, Magdiel, and he still always wanted you."

In her realization, Ambrose's watchfulness over her development became much more significant. Maybe it was paranoia, but this egg, if it survived, would not become some 'Chosen One' like herself. In this one's mind, a plan was brewing.
