As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Sioda Feileacan means silken butterfly. She's undoubtedly the most beautiful female in the cave, her wings lit with tiny, velvety shimmering scales in the pattern of a camberwell beauty (though Scathanargid isn't pleased about this, but mainly ignores her, not taking this seriously because she is "only a Drake").

She's shy and gentle, and will only take flight in clear, star-sprangled nights, hunting for moths, or nourishing on the nectar and blossoms of evening primroses. Her only friends in the cave are Realta Crithlonraigh, who carries the little girl with her on nightflights, and Seagal, who is a little dumb, but widely in love with her, though he's more like an adoring dog than an ardent lover.
